Savage blue heron spears huge prehistoric fish. Can it swallow its meal?

Great blue herons might be elegant looking birds but behind that beauty is a savage hunter who loves to skewer a meal and constantly dunk it in the water. Its catch in this instance is a plainfin midshipman, a type of sculpin that has come into the shallows to spawn. The real question is this, will the heron be able to swallow its meal before a hungry eagle decides to come in a steal it? Let’s wait and see! That’s a definite yes. Glad I’m not a fish!
