Sony A7R IV ( A7R4 ) First Impression – Can It Hold its own in the Fast Paced World of Bird Photography?

My good friends at B&H were nice enough to send me Sony’s new high megapixel monster, the A7R IV. I spent two days shooting this beast of a camera at one of my favorite locations. I put it through its paces and made a video of my findings. Watch the video below to see how the Sony A7R4 holds up in the fast paced world of bird photography!

  1. my 7Riv will be delivered today
    thanks for the review
look forward to see my images from it

  2. Mark decided to pickup the A7R4 to replace my R3 and very pleased with it. Also decided to stick with the 100400GM for now… With the cropping ability I’m pretty sure I can go without the 200600. I might pick up that lense next year… But based on your video it seems the G Master series lenses resolve more detail? Take care

  3. Mark,
Did you completely switch to Sony over Nikon? Do you still have your D850 and D500 or have you completely gone Sony only?

Keep up the good work with your videos and commentary/narration.

    1. I still have and shoot all my Nikon gear. I’m in an all Sony phase to really see the differences in the two and decide where I will make my future purchases.
